PRO BRASS // PORTRAITS

It was my pleasure to photograph the musicians of PRO BRASS for their new program “Sein oder nicht sein”.

PRO BRASS is much more than a brass ensemble — it is a musical experience. For over four decades, this exceptional formation has enchanted audiences with a unique fusion of virtuosity, expressive depth, and stage charisma.

The ensemble brings together some of the finest brass players from Austria and beyond: members of major orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, Wiener Symphoniker, RSO Wien, Volksoper Wien, the WDR Sinfonieorchester, and many more, plus professors from top music universities.

With “Sein oder nicht sein”, PRO BRASS once again proves its willingness to push boundaries. The program pairs new compositions and creative arrangements with the ensemble’s unmistakable sound, exploring the interplay of presence, identity and artistic expression.
