Zoltán Kiss // Portraits

Portrait photographs of Zoltán Kiss, trombonist of Mnozil Brass, taken outdoors in autumn for his upcoming solo CD — commissioned by Schagerl Music and Schagerl Records.

Zoltán Kiss, born in 1980 in Budapest, is a virtuoso trombonist who joined the ensemble Mnozil Brass in 2005 and now tours with them in over 100 concerts each year.
He studied at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and has won numerous national trombone competitions in Poland.
From 2014 to 2020, he served as International Trombone Tutor at the Philip Jones Centre for Brass (Royal Northern College of Music) in Manchester.
Zoltán plays exclusively on his signature trombones Kissbone and KissboneX, developed in collaboration with Schagerl.
His mouthpiece edition “Zoltán Kiss” is made by Latsch Custom Brass in Germany.

For this session, I chose an outdoor autumn setting to mirror the mood of the music he’s creating: rich tones, warm light, and an organic backdrop that complements his expressive playing. My aim was to capture both the contemplative moments and the natural energy he brings to his music.
